Hello Houston MINI peeps, I'm a somewhat recent transplant from up metroplexmini.org way.
I think it is about time for me to meet some Houston MINI peeps. I just now signed up for the forum and started looking over the club's website.
Attendance of any events will be very hit or miss for me. That is nothing new, back in Dallas I always had something going on with work and commutes and travel and such, but now I am in Houston with a new baby that doesn't do a very good job of keeping me on schedule. So, yeah, it may be a bit before I meet anyone in person, but it doesn't mean I don't want to :)

Welcome Jiffener:
Many of us "old timers" were metroplex posters prior to HMMS setting up this web site.
We certainly hope you can make it to one of our events soon, and can carve out some time to visit us as time permits.
Welcome to Houston, I think you're going to like it here.
Bob

Yeppers, I second what Bob says. And we've had more than a few kiddos at our events and rides, so don't let him or her hold you back.
(What is it, a him or a her? Congratulations either way!)

Zippeee!'s an '07 R56 MCS, delivered in February, 2007–one of the first in the country! We now have over 89,000 miles together. Yikes! That's a lot for someone who works out of her home–must be a bunch of pure motoring.

OK, I'll do a re-introduction since a lot of the folks at the bluebonnet run were new to me….
I joined the club back in the early days with an 03 MC, red/white with Union Jack on the roof.
Traded in for a white/white 05 MCS which got totaled in a T-bone crash after a minivan made a drunken right turn from the left lane right in front of me.
That led to a laser blue/white 07 MCS that had to be swapped out for a used pickup when medical bills began piling up (unrelated to the MINI!). Had to add a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic LT motorcycle to put some fun back into my commute, but that still didn't fix my need…
So once the finances got back in order, I got an 11 Countryman S which didn't even get to the first oil change before it was swapped out for the current 12 Cooper Coupé.
So there you go. Five MINIs (so far)

Hello, Bob, daffodildeb, pupsdaddy!
The little one is a girl, and she is wonderful except she isn't sleeping as much as all the books say she should.
That's a lot of MINIs, pups daddy

Five MINIs! Well, we're on our fifth BMW…first MINI, though…
Ken and I found out that babies don't always read the same books bigger humans read. Our first little one had a terrible case of screaming colic for many months…our second had none. Both were fed the same. And you'd never guess from looking at Michelle and Alex now, would you, HMMS members?
Your daughter will probably outgrow it by the time she goes to college…so she can sleep through those 8AM classes!
