I was wondering if any consideration has been given to ordering magnetic and or the medallion type of HMMS Badges. The current inside mount HMMS sticker is barely visible thru the dark tint if mounted on the rear glass. I personally like the quality of the vinyl badges with heavy magnetic backing made by Cooperflags. I do have the solid metal type ($18.00?) that was ordered by the club in 2004; it is (was) very beautiful, but the sun has taken a heavy toll on the colors and chrome edges.
I apologize if I am beating a dead horse…… I plead not guilty having been MIA for the last two years from the HMMS meetings.

Yes, indeed we have! We have even solicited quotes for magnetic badges. They're fairly expensive unless you buy umpteen gazillion, and our most recent "identity" projects have been polo shirts and caps. You're welcome to suggest vendors, though. Now that we have both of them, I think we're ready to revisit the subject of badges.
Come back to a meeting! Our next one is April 3, and will feature a "bluebonnet drive" right after it. Stay tuned for details…

Zippeee!'s an '07 R56 MCS, delivered in February, 2007–one of the first in the country! We now have over 59,000 miles together. Yikes! That's a lot for someone who works out of her home–must be a bunch of pure motoring.

Thanks for the prompt response.
What is the minimum quantity that most of bidding vendors want?

Well, you can get just one, if you want to pay big bucks, but it looks like a realistic number is about 50. That wouldn't be the cheapest, but as I recall (Ron, chime in here, please), the price drop at 100 wasn't worth the extra bucks to get there. I'd have to go back through my email records to get the exact prices, but as I recall, the cost was $5 pp at 50, and only about a dollar or so less for 100. Keeping in mind that our treasury would have to foot the bill for any not sold (in contrast to the preorder-only polo shirts) and I'd want more bids, and more support first.

Wow $5.00 pp is pretty good especially if it is of good quality. I concurr that support of the members is very critical. As in the past, the initial support will be luke warm, but with once the word spreads, the miniacs get excited and start signing-up. To further increase the ordering quantity, we might also consider selling the badges to the Metroplex Miniacs as collectors item; I consider them as "Honorary Members" of HMMS. Based on the minutes of the last months meeting, it seems the treasury can afford to bankroll the initial outlay, and hopefully the recouping of the funds will be quick.
PS. I was at the last months meeting and hope to be at the next.

Here is the best price we got:
QTY 25 = 5 dollars per Badge = 125+14.99 for Shipping Total = 139.99
QTY 50 = 4 dollars per Badge = 200+14.99 for Shipping Total = 214.99
QTY 100 = 3 Dollars per Badge = 300+ 19.99 for Shipping Total = 319.99

Uh–I can't always match up screen names and real names–(faces too, I'm afraid). Are you James? Almost certainly a dumb question, but…

What flavor? Hubby likes blueberry; I'm partial to blackberry. (Sorry, I couldn't resist!)

Not sure where the minutes are from the July meeting, but the club did vote on authorizing magnetic badges with the club logo. Ron, did you get an estimated delivery date?
