I will have to miss this one. I am going to trailer to Denver to pick up a Caterham. No, not for me.
Paul, are you going to the new Caterham USA office in Denver? I drove by the old headquarters two years ago after MINIs in the Mountains. It was on a Saturday, so no one was there. Please take pictures if you are going to the new headquarters!
We are not going to the Caterham USA office. It is a private sale and the new owner got an excellent deal. The car was a father/daughter built project . The daughter (a mechanical engineer) enjoyed the built but not the driving. The car is a little too raw for her.
Funny thing happened after the meeting. We went down to one of the hangers to visit one of Ken’s old friends, who has a machine shop on the field. Turns out he also has a MINI (used to have 2), and he didn’t know anything about the meeting, but would have come if he’d known! I told him I’d give him a heads-up if we meet there again…
