This is an annual drive that MINI USA puts together to bring MINIacs together and promote the brand. This year they have a route that starts July 26th in San Francisco and ends August 9th in Boston. Texas stops are in Lubbock (7/31), Austin (8/1) and Dallas (8/2).

The Austin MINI Cooper Car Club is hosting a Texas MINI gathering at Ceres Park Ranch in Austin on Saturday, May 11th. Some of you may remember we made this trip a couple of years ago. This location also has the Jester King Brewery.
Soon we’ll plan a caravan drive for our group from Houston to this event in Austin.

There is a large room at the front of the restaurant that we’ll have to ourselves. We’ll have a meet and greet in the parking lot strting at 10 am, start the meeting inside at 10:30, and order food off the menu at 11.

As I mentioned in the November club meeting post, Deborah King has arranged for us to serve a spaghetti dinner for the residents and Ronald McDonald house on the evening of November 5th. She has also arranged for Ma Maison to donate and cater food for the dinner. So, here are the rest of the details…
Ma Maison will be providing 200+ meatballs, sauce, Caesar salad & dressing and dessert. HMMS will provide the pasta, garlic bread, Parmesan cheese, croutons, drinks (tea, juice, milk), plastic utensils and paper goods. Ma Masion is also putting together goodie bags for the kids!
We’ll need some volunteers to help set-up and serve, cook the pasta and prepare the bread.
Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm, so we should get there no later than 5:00 pm do to our part. The caterers will be there a bit earlier to cook thier food.
Please comment below if you are interested in helping out. We are limited to 15 people total, including those from Ma Maison, so we can have about 10 or so club members.
Please also donate paper towels and aluminum pull tabs. RHM uses a lot of paper towels, and is always in need for more. And, they can turn in the pull tabs for cash. Bring these to the club meeting in the morning if you are unable to make it that evening.
